Impact reporting

Introduction

Finding ways to improve human, animal and environmental health has always been important to us. But the way we do it matters too – we want to live by these values ourselves. So we made a commitment and put the work in to prove it. But the journey doesn't end here - we are continuously assessing and improving our impact.

B Corp score

We have been B Corp certified since 2022, joining a global community of like-minded businesses that deeply care about people, community and the environment, not just profit.

Our B Corp certification is reassessed every three years, so our certification is not a destination, but an ongoing journey. We are currently engaged in the recertification process with a focus of achiving this by March 2025. We are always looking for ways to improve and welcome both internal and external feedback.

Carbon emissions

We make every effort to reduce our carbon emissions where possible and strive to one day be carbon neutral. However, we currently incur emissions that are mostly unavoidable. We therefore choose to offset our emissions by 120% and be climate positive.

We have been quality reviewed and assessed by EKOS since 2020.

Electricity usage

We track our electricity usage each month and look for explanations for any significant variations from expectation. We attempt to minimise usage and increase energy efficiency where possible and use New Zealand's only carbon neutral electricity provider.

Waste reporting

We reduce where we can but when not possible we recycle plastics with numbers 1, 2 and 5, soft plastics, glass and e-waste. We also offer composting in the office.
